Thank you to everyone who came to our first Year 3 and 4 Community Collective Worship.
It was lovely to welcome you all.
UBUNTU
Year 4 kicked off their Ancient Egypt topic today but getting mummified!
The children have been having lots of fun researching their chosen Norse God. We have been learning all about the Norse gods, ranging from Loki to Hel!
We have had a lovely Viking Day. Here are some pictures of the children dressed up and enjoying the experience! Thank you for your support in preparation for this event.
Experience Christmas
Sea Urchins and Manatee Classes got an early ‘Experience’ of the first Christmas when welcomed to our Church at St. Mildred’s by the clergy and helpers from the congregation.
Our Chihuly inspired chandeliers and flower installations made with the children with help from two amazing parents. 333 children and 1500 recycled bottles later! Exhibited by St.Mildred’s Church.
After weeks of art work in school with Years 3-6, art workshops with the memory cafe and our parents and a lead TA we enjoyed wearing our masks, carrying our ballerina umbrellas and candy canes through the town to St. Mildred’s Church for a family service.
All the children had the opportunity this week to spend some time at Kench Hill our new local Outdoor Learning Centre. The weather threw all kinds of challenges at the children, which they faced head on!
We have had an armada of Viking longships arrive in class today!
As part of our RE lessons, exploring Sikhism, we have been learning about the gurus (spiritual teachers) and how each guru passed on their wisdom to the next.
