Anne-Marie took up the role of parent governor in 2022 with a vested interest in supporting an environment where every child is empowered to reach their full potential.

She has a passion for education, having worked as a secondary teacher in English and Media for over two decades, with a background in leading departments and as a GCSE and A-Level examiner. She is also involved in promoting awareness and advocacy of neurodiversity in teaching and learning through staff initiatives, as well as developing knowledge and resources on the safety and well-being of children and young people.

Anne-Marie is an avid film fan with three children who have moved up the ranks at our school, and enjoys having the privilege of being part of the school community and working in collaboration with its dedicated staff. 

Maureen moved from Cheshire to Tenterden seven years ago and has been a co-opted governor at TPF School for six years.  
She worked for both Cheshire and Shropshire County Council Libraries and was a governor at a Cheshire primary school. On moving to Kent wished to use this skill set at TPF where her three grandchildren have been pupils.
A strong advocate of lifelong learning Maureen believes that every child should have the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

Lorna Walters is a civil servant with 20+ years of experience in enforcement. Lorna and her husband Alex, have three children, two of whom are currently attending Tenterden Primary Federation. Their youngest child starting in September 2024.

Lorna is a keen ultra runner, and took up the role of parent governor in July 2023. 

Andrew took up the role of governor in September 2023 having already established links with Tenterden Primary Federation through his role within the local Church of England clergy team, which he joined in July 2022.

Andrew endorses an approach to learning which emphasises creativity and curiosity, and which provides young people with a range of practical experiences and opportunities.  He has previously spent several years in leadership with the Scout Association and is enthusiastic about outdoor education through initiatives such as forest schools.

His background is in the visual arts, having trained at higher education levels in both illustration and fine art, as well as theology.  Andrew is married with two young sons and is delighted to be able to serve TPF in the role of governor.

Kimberley has lived in Tenterden for 28 years and is an active part of the community, leading a Brownie and Guide unit in the town since 1996.

She has worked at Tenterden Primary Federation since 2006 starting out as the Outdoor Play Co-ordinator and now as the Computing Manager. 

In her continuing role as staff governor it has allowed Kimberley to further contribute to the Federation and enhance the possibilities and opportunities for the children in our community.  It enables Kimberley to represent staff at Governor meetings to ensure that everyone has a voice.
